Lanner Church Hall 2-00pm
Band Jumble Sale followed in the evening by a quiz and Stew night
all proceeds to purchase of band equipement.
The
evening went very well, usual cheating took place during the quiz,
catering for the delicious Stew pot was carried out by Geoff and
Ann Mitchell. The evening ended with Ian singing and playing his
guitar

26th April.
Trevithick Day. Camborne
A Carnival Day to commemorate the Cornish inventor of the first
steam engine.
The day started off quite wet but soon dried up and went off very
well. The Conservative Club of Camborne made us most welcome,
letting us use their facilities to change, tune up and store our
equipement. The band played at various locations along the High
St. prior to the main parade. After being interviewed LIVE by
our famous Pirate FM radio station we finished the day by marching
right down the High St accompanied by much applause from the general
public. Finishing with some well earned refreshments in the Conservative
Club

Mabe Shin Dig
Annual Agricultural Show with displays and fairground.
The band, led by Pipe
Major for the day Alan MacKenzie, standing in for the bands Pipe
Major Dave King, performed at seperate times during the day for
the public and at the same time, avoided standing and marching
in the numerous cow pats that where all over the place. We also
had our Tombola Stall in use and succesfully operated as usual,
by our band ladies section Sheila, Sue, Pam and Issy. Thanks to
their tireless effort they helped in raising valuable funds for
the band.

Totnes Coach Outing
Our coach and boat trip to Dartmouth and then playing in the Civic
Gardens at Totnes sadly, had to be cancelled due to work commitments
and illnesses.

Redruth Civic Parade
Mayoral Parade through Redruth
The Band, once
again led by Alan MacKenzie led a very very wet parade comprising
of Mayors and Mayoresses, members of the Army, Navy, Air cadets
and Royal British Legion Standard bearers, marched through Redruth
to the annual Church service then onto the Redruth Royal British
Legion for refreshments.

6th July
Grand March through Looe
This was an
an occasion the towns folk and tourists of Looe thought they had
been transported to the Highlands of Scotland and an occasion the
people who approached us said was `a memorable sight to remember`.
The march by some 30 pipers and drummers, dressed in various tartans
and wearing both No1 and No2 dress, proceeded over Looe Bridge and
into the town. The band commenced static displays in the main car
park and at the Rose Garden before breaking for a well earned lunch.
We formed up again and whilst playing to Green Hills, Battle Oer
and Scotland the Brave , Mareis Wedding, marched to other areas
of the town to commence displays at various points throughout the
town.

Tremethick Rest Home for the Elderley, Redruth
This Garden
Fete engagement is becoming an annual event for the band, due to
the fantastic time all band members, family and residents experienced
last year. The Rest Home kindly offered us the use of their pool
facilities and the Garden Fete will hold various stalls within the
grounds, the band will play throughout the afternoon.

St Ives West Pier
From
1300hrs the band will meet and play on the West Pier in St Ives.

Penzance and Newlyn Fish Festival
The band will
commence to open the festival at 1100hrs, as usual this event will
attract numerous crowds, we will play at various times on the day,
thats if we can stop the band members from eating their way throughout
the day.More details can be obtained

Flushing Festival
The
band will meet at the Prince of Wales Pier, Falmouth and take the
short boat trip across the bay to Flushing.The
band will comence play at the Flushing Bowling Club.

Charity Classic and Vintage Car Rally, Hayle
The band will
open the car rally at Hayle R.F.C. ground at 1100hrs. The rally
proves to be an interesting event with various vehicles which will
prove of interest.

Four Lanes Fun Day
The band will
leave the car rally at Hayle around 1300hrs then proceed to the
Victoria Inn at Four Lanes to assist in the annual days entertainment,
and what better place to play on a nice hot day! we will be playing
at the pub through out the day from approx 1415hrs whilst the village
entertainment program is underway. This is a well supported day
by villagers and tourists.

Grampound Carnival, Grampound
This is an
evening venue for the band, static playing at approx 6-30pm in the
carnival field. Refreshments and stalls galore with various other
entertainment taking place.

9th November
Armistice Day Parade Falmouth R.B.L.
The band will
perform for this occasion and will take part in a small march within
Falmouth for this memorable Parade.

An occasion where different cultures performed for the public. During
an interlude the band then went and played at a local residental
home for the elderley.

An annual Charity event in aid of the Cornwall Air Ambulance

A Charity Concert in aid of the church fund raising.

Military Day, Trebah Gardens, Mawnan Smith.
The band played for the Airborne Forces Charity followed by a service
on the beach and laying of a wreath by a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose..
